IT
In the IT department, we are responsible for everything that has a plug and does not fall within the remit of the facility manager. We make digital processes faster, better and more secure, thus contributing to the company’s success.
In addition to internal IT support, we are responsible for the strategic further development of IT at WEICON and take on smaller programming tasks – for example in the areas of interfaces, web and apps.
Our team is made up of resourceful IT specialists and those who want to become IT specialists thanks to their training with us. We are a young, diverse crew that is crazy about fitness, pop music and chips. Despite our different personalities, teamwork is very important to us! What do we all have in common? We believe that GIFs say more than a thousand words – which is why we have GIFs in all our weekly digital meetings.

Hello Henning!
How did you become a member of the WEICON team and how long have you been working here?
I joined WEICON thanks to a quick chat at a railway station. I had met an acquaintance, now a colleague, who was on his way to his boss’s 50th birthday party. There and then, we talked about WEICON in more detail and I applied for the advertised IT position.
In a nutshell: what is it like to work at WEICON?
To say it with our Westphalian optimism: there really is nothing to complain about!
As a manager, what is especially important for you in your team?
First and foremost, we focus on good work results. However, this is closely followed by a friendly team spirit, which is strengthened by joint activities. Fun and the odd silly joke are a must!
What do you like most about your team?
We are a colourful bunch of people who have different strengths. Nevertheless, we are on the same wavelength and enjoy a good working relationship.
Is there anything else you would like to say to potential applicants?
If you choose a job at WEICON, you will become part of a fast-growing, constantly developing company. You have the opportunity to face new challenges and reinvent your job in the long term.
