Product Engineering
Welcome to the WEICON think tank! In our department we develop products that can be produced by injection moulding: from convenient stripping tools to user-friendly cartridges, from the initial idea to the final product.
How can we make our products even better, even cleverer, even more ergonomic? These are questions that drive us in product development. We put a lot of brainpower into designing solutions to problems that are actually implemented in the end.
As a well-functioning team, we often develop new projects together, are in constant dialogue and support each other. We employ mechanical engineers with experience in the field of plastics technology as well as trained mechanical technicians and toolmakers.
How can we make our products even better, even cleverer, even more ergonomic? These are questions that drive us in product development. We put a lot of brainpower into designing solutions to problems that are actually implemented in the end.
In addition to our passion for designing components, we also share a love of sport. Even sub-zero temperatures don’t stop us from taking a dip in our WEICON swimming pond.
Get to know the department head
Hello Heinrich!
How did you become a member of the WEICON team and how long have you been working here?
I started working here at the beginning of 2019 as a student trainee, and a few months later I was hired full-time. At the time, I would never have dreamed that I would be Head of Product Engineering just three years later.
What is it like to work at WEICON?
WEICON offers excitement and variety! I’m always having fun and so I’m in a good mood.
As a manager, what is especially important for you in your team?
Respectful interaction and a relaxed atmosphere are important to me. In addition to having fun at work, I also attach great importance to carrying out tasks conscientiously.
What do you like most about your team?
Above all, I appreciate the relaxed way in which we interact with each other – and our professionalism.
Is there anything else you would like to say to potential applicants?
